The best Ruud Van Nistelrooy memory…

When I saw this game against Arsenal at OT, after everything that was happening arround Ruud after Vieira got sent off, In stoppage time United is given a Penalty and Ruud misses it…I could not stand how the Arsenal players were over Ruud screaming, celebrating his fail, and pushing him, and he just keep calmed! that’s class.

But deep inside I knew he was eager for hit back at Arsenal, but that day was the first game of the Invinsibles I think, and the man who saw the invincibles rise, took them down, and in his celebration you can see, that he always had that incident in mind, but got rid of it like a man he is, with class, playing the game!

I’ll miss you a lot, Ruud Van Nistelrooy

“It could have been one of these days where their heads were down a little bit. But they played with good professionalism and they enjoyed it. They did well and showed good enthusiasm. I’m satisfied with the attitude of the players. It’s a decent result for us.”

“I don’t know how many times I’ve said it but without the support we’ve got we wouldn’t be near winning the championship for the past 20 years. So thank you, every one of you. Well done.”

“I’d like to thank all my medical and coaching staff, the directors for supporting us the way they do. And hopefully next week we’ll have the biggest celebration of our lives. So let’s be there!”

“Once again, thank you for your fantastic support. Well done, all the best.”

“The professionalism of Manchester United today was exemplary. They were probably watching the game beforehand and when Manchester City got those two late goals it could have really deflated them. Manchester United are serial winners. What makes them great winners is how they respond to not winning trophies. So if it is not for them this year, when you look at their history, they always come back the next year and win, so they will be there or thereabouts next season.”

So I saw this…

and it said:

“Alex Ferguson says Man City have bought the title.

As of May 6, 2012
Cost of starting Manchester City team today: £161m.
Cost of starting Manchester United team today: £169m.”

1st of all: gimme a link to a video or interview were SAF said that City bought the Title. he even said today “maybe both hands” when a journalist before the swansea game said to him that maybe city has one hand on the title now that they beat NUFC.

2nd: since when a whole league is won by 11 players of a team squad? are you retarded?…are you telling me that City played the entire season with only those 11 players? gimme a break…

3rd: The gap is SO HUGE!!! (just 8m, just THIS starting XI). are you for real?

4th: I bet that if I choose 10 random starting XI from this season, the City starting XI whould cost more than United’s. Why I’m so sure, well my friend, just because both United and City went trough this whole season with their SQUAD! and…

is that an almost 100m gap? omg…

And last: How many City (current) players come from the club’s academy?, for how long have the (current) players been on the team?.

This is a post who comes form a supporter of the team with the record of spending in one transfer window in 2009 (125.5m).

And let me remember you that you had a HARD time against a team who lost a lot of players due to injury (Vidic, anderson, valencia, fletcher, park, nani), some of them the whole season, some of them for a couple of months and we had to call Scholes back from retirement cuz our scuad was in a critical moment, and you are going to win this just on goal difference…what a shame…maybe you should spend another 125m, just saying

PD: I did’t put offensive Nicknames on your players… please learn some CLASS!

I can’t be the only person pissed off with the fans towards the end today, surely? We want these players to break records every year, without fail, yet a third of the “supporters” there today couldn’t be arsed to clap the team off.

Very few of us United fans know bad times. If you seriously believe going a year without a trophy qualifies as such, give your head a wobble. Tough is not knowing your team will still be in the division come next season, wether your club will even still exist.

What kind of message do the lads get from this? That their efforts aren’t good enough for your obviously high standards? I know we’re all gutted, I’d honestly have no words if you weren’t hurting even just a little bit after letting an eight point lead go but it’s the penultimate game of the season, the last at Old Trafford and wether you’re upset about today’s results or not, you could have at least made sure they knew you appreciated the fact - they gave this season a bloody good go.

We haven’t had a bad season, not by any means. In fact, we’ve played much greater than the ability of our squad pledges.

To quote Sir Matt: “There should be no conceit in victory and no despair in defeat.” Chins up. We’ve seen off Arsenal and Chelsea, we’ll not go down to City without so much as a whimper.
